Indiana's Cathy Hanna started her racing career in 1977, back when the girls class was called Powder Puffs. Hanna quickly became one of the fastest females in the Midwest racing scene.
While most know Cathy from this iconic pic, where she became the Heart Throb of every young boy of the 80's replacing Farah Fawcett as the true dream girl. Most forget that not only was she made out by BMX Action Magazine as the poster girl for beauty but she was a true Bad Ass Racer! And also helped out at every track she went to. It wasn't uncommon to see Cathy sweeping the track, helping stake down banners — she was and is a BMXer thru and thru. It truly is what Torker and BMX should embody.
