I had been riding and racing restomod bikes on asphalt pump tracks before building this up. I was kinda fast before, but this frameset was obviously made for it and has made me faster. The biggest factor IMO is the way the twin top tubes keep it stiff when accelerating and flex lightly and predictably in the hardest turns. The Blue Meanie has a mix of restored and new parts, including 1980's vintage Suzue "sealed" mid-flange loose ball hubs laced to Sun Rhyno Lite 36h hoops with DT Champion 2.0 spokes, composing the wheelset I spun up for maximum stiffness. The White Insustries 16t freewheel doesn't drag those free-spinning hubs at all, she's a roller.

I bought a set to use with my new Diesel and I only picked them up so I could ride before I built new ones. These are so nice I might not build another set.

Excellent geometry, it’s an outstanding newer old school design for fat guys like me. It can certainly be raced and comfortable for just recreational use. The pre-purchase questions posed on the site after hours were answered promptly the next day. Ordering was easy- the bike came perfectly packed. Assembling the bike went equally as well. The headset cups perfectly round at proper angle, bottom bracket threads faced - I was able to put both cups in all the way without a tool. All of the welds are fabulous and it absolutely rides way better than any SE 26, or Skyway. If you are on the fence- do it!

I'm so glad that Bill and company decided to bring the Torker name back to BMX! I purchased the Barbarian 2 26" and fell in love instantly. The frame and fork rides so smooth, and the show chrome turns heads at every rideout. I'll be grabbing a 24 for the wife and a balance bike for our granddaughter soon! Cheers!!!!

When I got back into BMX racing a couple years ago, I got a couple cheap old frames to build up just to make sure I wasn't going to kill myself out there. Once I got my legs back and I felt like I could actually be competitive, I knew I needed a serious bike upgrade.
There are a lot of names out there of bikes I knew nothing about. All the names I was familiar with were gone. Most were completely out of business, and some just gave up on BMX and were more focused on department store road and mountain bikes. But one name suddenly appeared that I knew, and knew well: TORKER.
Enter Bill Ryan, who took on the task...and the risk... of giving an old name new life. Not just bringing back a great bike, but making them in the USA! I knew that's what I wanted to ride.
I ordered a white Pro-X frameset and dialed it in with black and gold parts, and it came out better than I ever expected.... and my expectations were high to begin with. I love this bike! I have no excuse for not just getting back to a competitive level, but to win! It might take a while for me to build up the skill to match this bike, but it has made the process so much easier and my confidence so much higher.
I recently added a black Diesel cruiser to go with it, and it's just as amazing. Now I need a yellow one... ...and a polished one...
I also had the pleasure of meeting Bill and members of the Torker family at Dirtyfest, and it was awesome. I don't know if I'll ever make the team, but I'm a Torker rider and racer for life.
