When I got back into BMX racing a couple years ago, I got a couple cheap old frames to build up just to make sure I wasn't going to kill myself out there. Once I got my legs back and I felt like I could actually be competitive, I knew I needed a serious bike upgrade.
There are a lot of names out there of bikes I knew nothing about. All the names I was familiar with were gone. Most were completely out of business, and some just gave up on BMX and were more focused on department store road and mountain bikes. But one name suddenly appeared that I knew, and knew well: TORKER.
Enter Bill Ryan, who took on the task...and the risk... of giving an old name new life. Not just bringing back a great bike, but making them in the USA! I knew that's what I wanted to ride.
I ordered a white Pro-X frameset and dialed it in with black and gold parts, and it came out better than I ever expected.... and my expectations were high to begin with. I love this bike! I have no excuse for not just getting back to a competitive level, but to win! It might take a while for me to build up the skill to match this bike, but it has made the process so much easier and my confidence so much higher.
I recently added a black Diesel cruiser to go with it, and it's just as amazing. Now I need a yellow one... ...and a polished one...
I also had the pleasure of meeting Bill and members of the Torker family at Dirtyfest, and it was awesome. I don't know if I'll ever make the team, but I'm a Torker rider and racer for life.

I needed a serious frameset to build a great racing bike. I just got back into BMX racing a year and a half ago and felt that I desperately needed an upgrade from the thirty year old cruiser I was dragging around the track.
This Diesel frameset, along with the Pro X 20" set I got a couple months ago, did not disappoint. I can now concentrate on getting my skills back without being concerned about the bikes failing me. My only dilemma with the Diesel was which color to choose, but I went with the black and dialed it in with all black parts and gold wheels. It really stands out, as does the white and gold Pro-X.
They always get a lot of attention at the track too. As if I can race my motos, dust them off, and set them up for a bike show and they would win the prize.
There aren't that many of us racing them... yet... but there will be, and I'm extremely proud to be on the front end of this company's rebirth.

These chain tensioners look awesome, and of course they do the job great! I have a gold set for my white Torker Pro X and a black set for the black Diesel.
