Dave Marietti
Dave Marietti joined the Factory Torker Team in 1982, coming in during a period when BMX had fully evolved into a national, highly competitive sport. By the time he lined up in Torker colors, Dave brought experience, confidence, and a deep understanding of what it took to compete at a high level, adding strength and depth to the factory program.

Dave’s time in BMX did not stop at the gate. After his racing career, he went on to found Hot Shoppe Designs, a company that would become one of the most influential names in BMX and cycling apparel. Through Hot Shoppe, Dave outfitted countless championship-winning teams and riders over the years, including national programs and Olympic teams, extending his impact on the sport far beyond his own racing career.

Dave’s racing helped maintain Torker’s visibility at major events and in BMX magazines during the early 1980s, a time when factory teams played a critical role in shaping brand identity. By showing up, racing hard, and competing at the national level, he contributed to the continued strength and recognition of the Torker Racing name.
