Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Torker EK 20 GEN II?
A faithful reissue of Eddy King's iconic 1979 Torker signature frame — the EK. Eddy King was "The 1$," the OG Torker rider through the late-70s LP era. The GEN II version updates the head tube to the more common MX2 size while keeping the 21.1 ID steerer tube and full chromoly construction.

What sizes does the EK 20 come in?
Three sizes: Pro (20.5" TT, 14.75" CS), Pro XL (21.25" TT, 15.25" CS), Pro XXL (21.75" TT, 15.25" CS). All with 11.625" BB height and 74.5° head angle.

Who was Eddy King?
Eddy King — "The 1$" — was an OG Torker rider through the late-70s and early-80s, on the 1979 National Number One factory team. His signature replica frame was a Torker production model from 1979–1980. Read the full Fullerton Era history.

What components do I need to build it?
Frame and 1" threaded fork are included. You add: 1" threaded MX2 Style BMX headset (26.4mm Bottom Race, 32.7mm ID Headtube), 21.1 quill stem (the Torker Ultra 6 21.1 Quill is a perfect match), side pull brakes, 22.2 seatpost, 25.4 seat clamp, retro frame cable clips, plus bars, grips, cranks, BB, chain, chainwheel, cog, pedals, saddle, 20" wheelset, tires, tubes.

What's the difference between the GEN II and the original 1979 EK?
The GEN II uses the MX2 sized headset (more common, easier to source) instead of the original Dura Ace size. Steerer tube, geometry, and overall build philosophy stay faithful to the original. Plus the GEN II comes in Gloss Black in addition to Chrome.

What material is it made of?
Seamless 4130 chromoly. Includes 1" 21.1 ID retro 4130 Cro-mo heat-treated Torker threaded fork. Double-thick chromoly dropouts.
