Frequently Asked Questions
Why a 29" BMX frame?
29" BMX is the tallest Big BMX format — ideal for taller adult riders, USA BMX Masters, pump track, and rideouts. The larger wheel rolls over rougher surfaces and gives more contact patch on the gate.
What's the difference between the MX29 and MX26?
Wheel size and geometry. MX29 has a 23.75" top tube with 17.7" chainstays — longer and lower for the 29" wheelset. MX26 is 22.75" TT with 15.75" CS for 26" wheels. Pick MX29 if you're 5'10"+ or want maximum presence on the track.
What size rider fits the MX29?
Riders roughly 5'10" and up. The 29" format is the largest Big BMX size available.
What material is the frame made of?
Full seamless 4130 chromoly. Includes 1 1/8" 4130 Cro-mo heat-treated threadless fork. Double-thick (1/4") laser-cut chromoly dropouts. Integrated Campy® headtube with retro look.
What's the rear spacing?
110mm rear, 100mm fork spacing (lock nut to lock nut). 3/8" dropouts front and rear.
What components do I need to build it?
Frame and fork are included. You add: 1 1/8" integrated headset, V brakes, 27.2 seatpost, 28.6 seat clamp, plus stem, bars, cranks, BB, chain, chainwheel, cog, pedals, saddle, 29" BMX-spec wheelset, tires, tubes.
Is the MX29 race-legal for USA BMX?
Yes — meets USA BMX Cruiser and Masters specifications. 29" complies with the maximum wheel size for those classes.
